Tracy excelled in art at school, but her career choice prevented her from having the spare time to explore and develop her style was limited. Throughout her working life and whilst bringing up her family, Tracy continued to satisfy her passion for art, by regularly sketching and painting in her spare time and she attended numerous art sessions.
In recent years, time has become more plentiful to Tracy, her children have grown up and she was able to focus all of her time on her passion for drawing. She completed an ‘A’ level art course at the Bournemouth Further Education Institute and has continued with an art foundation course at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth University.
During her studying, Tracy decided that she would make art her career choice and feels that her life is now complete and has at last found total inner fulfillment.
Tracy commented saying that “Pet portraits are my real passion; my pets play a major role in my everyday being, bringing joy, laughter and most of all companionship into my life”. She went on to explain that “over the years I have sketched and painted my children and pets, perfecting my techniques and I decided with the encouragement of my friends and family, to share my gift to capture the magic, individual character and sentiment for others by accepting commissions for pencil portraits”.
Around Tracy’s home she has numerous photographs and pencil portraits of her children and many companion friends, both past and present. Tracy says "visitors enjoy the many photos around my home, but they always stop and dwell on my pencil sketches with admiration".
