I've been wanting to get on with studies of coloured portraits, but 'fortunately' have been quite busy with lots of pencil commissions.

So over the christmas period I made time and got the old pastel pencils out, thus the result!

Not too sure what i think? I was pleasantly surprised with her ears, eyes and nose (luckily for millie!) but could not get enough depth and definition within the fur around her mouth and neck? The upper part of the head was detailed and precise, but then i loosen up a bit to much down the head?

Critical opinions are always welcome, one of the best ways of progressing . . . . . Oh, and a bit of positive input always makes you feel good along the way!

Still... left me with hope and positive thoughts and corrections for others that will follow.

An absolutely brilliant course which has made me a great decission maker as they don't give you time to dwell over any ideas, you just go for it. . . . . . . . and yes it's worked.
